Our Clinic
In 1971 Eleftherios Tzeranis founded our neuropsychiatric clinic. His vision and basic principle were, and remain, to offer a better life to people suffering from mental disorders, both to themselves and their families. For half a century our actions are aimed at supporting people with psychiatric and psychological diseases who could need hospitalization or external observation.
We respond to the developments in the field and we remain informed, having as head scientific director the psychiatrist Spyros Tzeranis who is leading a highly qualified team of professionals. Our values, which remain at the core of all our actions, are integrity, empathy, expertise, reliability and efficiency.

Fifty years of uninterrupted presence in the psychiatric world.
A presence inspired by the ethics, values and principles of the founder of our clinic Eleftherios Tzeranis, which over time tested and forged the ethos and paved the path for all of us, who participate in this truly wonderful effort. Principles based on love for fellow human beings, willingness to help and offering constant scientific and therapeutic excellence.
Our clinic endeavored to respond to all the prevailing challenges of science and therapy, but also to the adversity that honorable entrepreneurship experiences in our country. Throughout the years, we did not redeem our principles, our interest, or our love for offering did not diminish in the slightest. Instead, we retained our human face.
Fifty years later, in 2021, times demand change and reformation. Science is advancing, patients’ needs are shifting and so are ways, methods, and psychological approaches. In this changing world our clinic with the guarantee of its history, its scientific expertise and the professionalism of all its employees, continues to offer even better and high level mental health services.
In-patient hospitalization for individuals suffering with psychosis, depression, alcoholism, use of psychotropic substances, and eating disorders, is provided in our premises, aided by our highly trained and experienced medical and nursing staff. Apart from our short-term hospitalization unit, we offer psychological support services for internal and external patients, modern occupational and music therapy departments. The latest addition to our services is the monitoring of patients from home, as well as online psychotherapy and psychological support services.
Ethics
“Ὄμνυμι Ἀπόλλωνα ἰητρὸν, καὶ Ἀσκληπιὸν, καὶ Ὑγείαν, καὶ Πανάκειαν, καὶ θεοὺς πάντας τε καὶ πάσας, ἵστορας ποιεύμενος, ἐπιτελέα ποιήσειν κατὰ δύναμιν καὶ κρίσιν ἐμὴν ὅρκον τόνδε καὶ ξυγγραφὴν τήνδε. Ἡγήσασθαι μὲν τὸν διδάξαντά με τὴν τέχνην ταύτην ἴσα γενέτῃσιν ἐμοῖσι, καὶ βίου κοινώσασθαι, …”
It is a paradox, however, the Oath of Hippocrates, even after 2,300 years from its “birth”, remains relevant and practically covers the daily practice of modern medicine.
Although so many centuries have passed since its establishment, it continues to be the most perfect and complete code of practice of medical science. Laws will come and go, improving and supplementing ethics, but it is doubtful that they will overshadow the moral values of the oath. In our clinic we recognize the Oath of Hippocrates as the supreme law for doctors.
Nevertheless, we operate in an area where it is necessary to gain the trust of society, patients, their families, and the authorities. The assumption of such responsibility dictates the need to codify the ethical principles that should govern our day-to-day transactions and the behaviors which we should adopt in specific situations. The Code of Ethics of our clinic presents our ethical approach and our ethical principles towards all stakeholders.
Facilities
Our facilities are located on Pentelis Avenue in Nea Penteli, with easy access from the highways. They include rooms, common areas, garden, occupational therapy rooms and group therapies.
As part of our belief in the high quality medical care that all patients and their families should receive, we have embarked on a total renovation of our indoor and outdoor facilities, with the aim of creating leading mental health spaces in our country.
